Meet Dr. Mouni Fer, Veterinarian and Founder
My name is Dr. Mouni Fer, a licensed veterinary doctor based in New York City. I hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, one of the top veterinary institutions in the United States, where I specialized in exotic animal care and wildlife health.
Throughout my career I have worked with hundreds of pet owners across New York who struggled to find reliable, science-based information about their animals, especially owners of exotic pets like reptiles, rodents, birds, and rare species. That gap is exactly why I created The Animal Sound.
Why I Started This Site
Most pet advice online is written by bloggers with no medical background. I wanted to build a place where every guide, every care tip, and every health article is written or reviewed by someone who has actually treated these animals professionally.
The Animal Sound exists to give every pet owner, whether you have a golden retriever or a baby platypus, access to veterinarian-quality guidance for free.
